Lonn Laursen is Austin's most well-known and respected Personal Trainer.  As a powerlifter and a bodybuilder he began over 25 years ago to transform his own physique into something amazing. Through his competitive bodybuilding and powerlifting career he sharpened his nutritional expertise and the art of decreasing body fat to its absolute cellular level. Thus, having the ability to guide people from all walks of life to achieve their fitness goals. Also, as a National Physique Committee judge and former competitive body builder, he has the experience needed to evaluate and guide those individuals who strive to be successful in all forms of physique competition.

Concurrent with his enrollment at Southwest Texas State University he moved to Austin to train and found the highly active city a perfect environment to offer others help in achieving the seemingly impossible task of six packs and sexy legs. What had once loomed over people's head like and intangible dream was brought into their reality with only a few short months of training with Lonn.

It's not just a workout and a meal plan.  Lonn teaches you, encourages you and doesn't sugar-coat anything.  What you walk away with is a sense of someone you can trust to tell you like it is.  Lonn is famous for his one-liners rebutting clients' notions of their fitness.

Many trainers try to be tough, but people really want someone they can trust, someone that they know will be there and inspire you, whether it be a 5am or 7pm session. That builds trust and a partnership. It tells people that he is on their side, they are in this together and he cares more about them reaching their goals than they do.  

For the past 13 years Lonn has trained clients in the same convenient location off Mopac and Anderson Lane at the friendly, neighborhood gym, Gym One.  He puts his clients' needs first and designs workouts around schedules, injuries, diet issues, just to name a few.  Each workout is specific to that individual, and each is given a meal plan tailored for their overall goals and fitness program. Lonn also emphasizes the personal responsibility of each of his clients to obtain their goals, and knows first hand the enormous determination and dedication it takes to reach their goals.  Taking it upon himself to keep the clients motivated by changing exercises and always keeping them fun and challenging. 

Lonn studied Exercise Sports Science at Southwest Texas State University and is certified by Aerobics and Fitness Association of America in Personal Training.
